Latest preparatory development.....My cell phone has been hanging together by a thread for awhile and I finally dropped it hard enough it won't even turn on . A cell phone falls in the category of Emergency Gear up here - especially for Oldies.... and especially in Winter. Since it had to be replaced, decided it was a good enough reason to check out Smartphones. AT&T gives us GREAT discounts. Came home today with a 64 Gig iPhone 4S. http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/ My son said if I was going to get an iPhone to get the most memory possible as they were not expandable - which is why I got the 64 gig model.....and 4S is the latest one made so it won't become obsolete so fast.
Isn't this New Year starting out GREAT!! ....already a Mexico trip and a new iPhone
Now if it would just stop blizzarding long enough so I can make a trip into Anchorage to attend an iPhone 4S Getting Started class. Was going to spend today going thru the Owner's Manual but Husband says we are both needed shoveling the deck tomorrow. It's piled up approx. 5 feet and the next wave of snow is suppose to start late tomorrow...with another 12 - 18 inches predicted. This has really been an unusual amount of snow since Christmas. We've had the monster rig out with it's huge bucket to dig us out twice and will probably need them again next week.
Happy to say we don't have it nearly as bad as Valdez and Cordova which are on the other side of the mountain range from us.
