I knew it was an exceptional amount of snow this winter. It's official. We broke the seasonal snowfall record. Saturday, April 7th, snow fell across the city and
at 4 p.m. the official tally was 133.6 inches, breaking a record set
during the winter of 1954-55 by an even 1 inch. Another 0.9 inches fell
by 7 p.m., putting the total at 134.5, where it would likely stand , the Weather Service said.
Easter Morn was a white one as evidenced in the photos below.
But on this morning of April 19th, there are huge patches of brown grass showing through the remaining snowdrift piles. Not a tinge of green on the trees yet, but these 15 hour days of sunlight, and temps in the upper 40s/lower 50s should have those popping out soon. The pendulum swings.
